FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Yes, we are in-network with most major insurance companies. However, it is the responsibility of the patient to verify coverage specifics and confirm Dr. Kehoe is in-network for both naturopathic care and acupuncture. Confirming naturopathic coverage is important even if you are only coming in for acupuncture.

    • Premera, Lifewise.

    • United Healthcare.

    • Kaiser PPO, First Choice.

    • Aetna.

    • MVA claims with PIP.

It is still important to verify that your specific plan is in-network for BOTH naturopathic care and acupuncture with Dr. Kehoe.

Please note Devon does not verify insurance coverage/benefits. This is the responsibility of the patient.

  • Most visits vary between 45-60 minutes. Naturopathic follow-up visits are typically 30-45 minutes.

For acupuncture, the treatment time/needle retention is approximately 45 minutes.

    • We encourage you to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.

    • Needles are approximately the size of a hair.

    • Common sensations with needle insertion include heaviness or achiness, but pain is not a part of acupuncture. Rarely, you may have a brief twinge of pain with needle insertion that subsides quickly. Dr. Kehoe encourages open communication to ensure you feel safe and are comfortable while you are on the table.

    • Although rare, the most common side effect may be a small, local bruise near the insertion point. This can occur if the needle bumps a blood vessel with insertion.
